New Here?

We’re so excited you’re here! Whether you're visiting for the first time, returning after some time away, or looking for a church home, House of Prayer Restoration is a place where hearts are healed, families are restored, and lives are transformed by the love of Jesus Christ.

Who We Are

Founded in 2020, House of Prayer Restoration is a Christ-centered, community-driven church located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Under the loving leadership of Reverend Dr. Maddie Turner Jr. and First Lady Tracy Turner, our mission is to serve God by serving others.
We are a welcoming congregation focused on faith, family, outreach, and spiritual growth. We believe church should be more than a place to attend—it should be a family to belong to.

Get Involved

Joining a new church can feel overwhelming—but we’re here to walk with you every step of the way. At House of Prayer Restoration, there are plenty of ways to connect and make a real impact:

Nehemiah Circle (Men & Mentorship):

A brotherhood focused on spiritual growth, leadership, and accountability. “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.” — Proverbs 27:17 (KJV)

Naomi Circle (Women’s Ministry):

A nurturing space for women to grow in faith, fellowship, and service. “Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.” — Proverbs 31:25 (KJV)

Children’s Ministry:

Teaching the next generation about God’s love through fun, interactive learning. “Suffer little children to come unto me... for of such is the kingdom of God.” — Luke 18:16 (KJV)

Youth Ministry:

Empowering teens with faith, purpose, and guidance through life’s challenges.

Worship & Arts Ministry

“Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.”
— Psalm 150:6 (KJV)

Our Worship & Arts Ministry brings together musicians, vocalists, dancers, and visual artists to lead our congregation into heartfelt praise and deeper encounters with God. Through weekly worship services, special concerts, and creative arts events, this ministry seeks to glorify the Lord, inspire spiritual expression, and unite our church family in joyful celebration. Whether you play an instrument, love to sing, dance, or create art, there’s a place for you to use your gifts to honor God and uplift others.

Food Pantry & Outreach Ministry

“For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in.”
— Matthew 25:35 (KJV)

Our Food Pantry & Outreach Ministry is committed to meeting the physical needs of our community with compassion and dignity. We partner with local organizations and volunteers to distribute nutritious food, household essentials, and seasonal resources to families and individuals facing hardship. Beyond nourishment, we offer prayer, referrals to supportive services, and a message of hope, reflecting Christ’s love in action.

Frequently Asked Questions

What denomination and doctrinal beliefs does House of Prayer Restoration hold?

We are a non‑denominational, Bible‑centered church grounded in the historic truths of Christianity. We affirm the authority of Scripture, the deity of Jesus Christ, salvation by grace through faith, and the work of the Holy Spirit in transforming lives. Our core beliefs are clearly outlined in our Statement of Faith, available upon request or in our New Member packet.

Our pastoral care team, led by Rev. Dr. Maddie Turner Jr., provides counseling, prayer visits, and practical assistance during life’s difficult seasons. We also have a dedicated Sick & Shut‑in ministry that ensures those unable to attend services receive regular visits, prayer support, and essential resources.

Absolutely. Our Marriage Enrichment Ministry offers premarital classes, couple’s retreats, and ongoing marriage counseling led by trained pastoral counselors. We seek to strengthen relationships so families can thrive in God’s design for marriage.

How do I become an official member of the church?

Membership begins with our New Member Orientation Class, held quarterly. In this class, you’ll learn about our vision, mission, core values, and opportunities to serve. After attending the orientation and meeting with a pastor or elder, you’ll be welcomed as a member during a Sunday service.

Yes! We believe in equipping every believer for service. Through our Leadership Development Workshops and Mentorship Programs (such as the Nehemiah Circle), you can build skills in teaching, discipleship, administration, and community outreach. These trainings are offered throughout the year and are open to any member with a heart to lead.

In addition to weekend worship, we offer midweek Bible Studies, online sermon archives on our YouTube channel, and small‑group discussions. These resources allow you to dive deeper into Scripture at your own pace, connect with others, and grow in your walk with Christ.
